The Chardon Community Action Team is pleased to announce the return of its annual Car and Motorcycle Show.
The show, in its 16th year, is held each year to provide a fun event for families, residents and car and motorcycle enthusiasts.
“When the Chardon Community Action Team started the Car and Motorcycle Show 16 years ago, we wanted to create a fun family event on Chardon Square,” said Cheryl Pfiester, chairwoman of the Car and Motorcycle Show. “There is no better way for the whole family to have a good time while supporting a good cause.”
The Car and Motorcycle Show takes place Aug. 9, from 12-4 p.m., on historic Chardon Square, thanks in part to “supercharged sponsors” Burr Funeral Home, Lake Health and Ordnance Technology Service.
Starting off the day, the “Stingrayz” will be playing music from the 50s, 60s and Motown.
There also will be more than 100 classic or hot rod cars and motorcycles on display, a Chinese auction, a 50/50 raffle, a bake sale and a full menu of classic foods.
“Most of the activities throughout the day are free and those that do have a cost are economically priced so everyone can enjoy,” Pfiester said.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and enjoy the classic and hot rod cars and motorcycles, good old-fashioned food, and many other fun activities for the whole family.
All monies raised will be used to support the mission of CCAT to lower the use of tobacco, alcohol and drugs in youth through education and community events for youth and their families.
Registrations are still being accepted for cars and motorcycles, which will be professionally judged.
