The Chardon Hilltoppers hosted the North Royalton Bears in a baseball doubleheader designed to replace rainouts earlier in the year. The games were about as opposite in action as can be expected. After a wonderfully played opener in which both teams made all the plays needed to be competitive, the second game saw swings in every direction. When it was all said and done, however, the Bears had made the bigger plays at the end of both games in taking the twinbill by scores of 1-0 and 9-5 in nonconference action.
