Friends of the Library Book Sale
July 27-30
The Geauga West Friends of the Library summer book sale begins July 27, with a members-only preview from 4-6 p.m. Memberships are available at the door. The public sale follows from 6-8:30 p.m.
The sale will continue July 28, 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; July 29, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and July 30, which is $3 Bag Day, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
There are thousands of new and gently used adult and children’s books, puzzles and games and audio/video items. The sale will also feature a large collection of woodworking magazines, railroad magazines, knitting and quilting patterns and magazines and a large donation of Western books, especially Zane Grey.
Caring for the Caregiver
Aug. 2, 7 p.m.
A caregiver is someone who provides direct care to children, the elderly or chronically ill. Caregivers often put their own needs aside to care for their loved ones. Learn more about caring for the caregiver with the experts from UH Geauga Medical Center.

Your First Yoga Class
July 28, 6:30 p.m.
Teacher Denise Musgrave will lead adults through beginner’s mat yoga in a low-stress library setting. Dress comfortably and bring a mat. A towel and water bottle is also suggested. The event qualifies participants for the library’s W.O.R.K.Out challenge.
The program is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
Arts Festival Book Sale
Aug. 5-7
The Friends of the Chardon Library will be holding its annual Arts Festival Book Sale in the library’s Bostwick room. There will be a members-only preview on Aug. 5 from 9-10 a.m. Memberships and renewals may be purchased at the door.
General book sale hours are Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Aug. 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Aug. 7, which is $3 Bag Day, from 1-5 p.m.
