For the second time in two weeks, Chardon City’s computer system was attacked by ransom ware and the city had to pay more than $700 for the key, according to City Manager Randy Sharpe. The katya ransom ware struck a server at the city offices on Sept. 16 but, fortunately, it did not infect the whole system and the system was back up by the afternoon of Sept. 19.
