Reaching the Goal

In just two months, NDCL has received gifts and pledges of more than $530,000 toward our $1 million goal to transform our library into a state-of-the-art Learning Commons. The school is working hard to reach the goal line by June 6.

Because the Learning Commons will benefit every student who attends NDCL, this creative and exciting project is the first priority of the 25th Anniversary Initiatives Campaign.

Next week, Peter Bolek and Kevin Kennedy of Holzheimer Bolek + Meehan Architects (HBM) will share four design proposals for review. The proposals are the outcome of the design session the architects conducted with 35 stakeholders earlier this month.

“I am fully confident that our parents, alumni, and friends will join us in this focused and unified initiative with their gifts and pledges,” said President Sr. Jacquelyn Gusdane.

“The Learning Commons will be a showplace of learning that models the educational vision and principles of the Sisters of Notre Dame as students are transformed by developing and bringing to fullness their gifts of mind and heart.”

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Joseph and his colorful dreamcoat lit up the stage as Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School’s amateur production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” opened a series of six performances last weekend in NDCL’s Pat and Janet O’Brien Center for the Performing Arts.

The show continues March 6 at 6:30 p.m.; March 7 at 7:30 p.m.; and March 8 at 7:30 p.m.

All tickets must be reserved and purchased online at www.ndcl.org or before the show.

Gymnast Goes to States

Congratulations go to junior Claire Spech who competed on the beam in the gymnastics state meet last weekend in Columbus. She finished in 23rd place.

Claire qualified for states for the third consecutive year with a seventh place finish on the beam in district competition last weekend.

Personal Tour Evening

Prospective students and their parents are invited to come to NDCL’s next personal tour evening on March 12, from 6-8 p.m. The evenings are a more personal opportunity to learn about the NDCL experience in conversation with Director of Admissions Michael Suso ’03, parent ambassadors, students and administrators.

If one cannot visit the campus in March, another evening is scheduled in May. Families can register for the date of their choice online at ndcl.org.

NDCL will also host a family open house on April 15
