People with exceptionalities are Shari Hunter’s specialty. In her world, individuals with disabilities, such as autism and Down’s syndrome, are exceptional and have a place at her Two Café and Boutique in Bainbridge Township. There, they learn to wait tables, wash dishes, greet customers and operate the cash register, developing work and social skills often denied individuals with differences. After two years and about 50 trainees, Hunter is confident she and her nonprofit organization, the Two Foundation, are on the right track.
