Under Proposed State Budget West G Looks to Lose $170,000

West Geauga Schools Treasurer Karen Penler announced at the Feb. 27 school board meeting that under Gov. John Kasich’s proposed budget, the district will lose roughly $170,000. “It’s a reduction in our state foundation payment due to a decrease in enrollment,” Penler said in a phone interview March 1.
