Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Geauga County Board of Commissioners, 470 Center Street, Building #4, Chardon, Ohio 44024, or by mail at the same address until 1:45 p.m., local time on May 31, 2017 for Home Care Services: Assistance with Daily Living for Geauga County Residents Age 60 and Over, and will be opened at Two Fifteen O’clock P.M. and read immediately thereafter in the Commissioners’ Chambers.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bond or certified check, cashier’s check, or money order on a solvent bank or savings and loan association, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount bid and shall be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and a contract awarded to the Bidder, the contract will be duly executed in conformity with the invitation and the bid.

AUBURN TOWNSHIP ROADS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Auburn Township Board of Trustees for the Crack Seal of Various Roads in Auburn Township until 4:00 P.M. official local time on Monday, June 5, 2017.
Specifications may be obtained from the administration office from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. during normal working days or downloaded from the township website, www.auburntownship.com. Bidders are required to return the Bid Forms and to note on the outside of the sealed bid envelope “Bid for the 2017 Crack Seal of Various Auburn Township Roads.” A bid guaranty in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount or a certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount shall accompany each bid. The bid bond will be held as a performance bond until acceptance of the completed project by the Auburn Township Highway Superintendent. Will be received at the Board of Education Offices OFFICE OF THE TREASURER, NEWBURY LOCAL SCHOOLS, 14775 AUBURN ROAD, NEWBURY OHIO, 44065, until 12:00 Noon, local time on Friday June 2, 2017 and will be publicly opened, read and recorded immediately thereafter. Sealed bids received after 12:00 Noon will not be accepted.
Complete sets of plans and specifications may be examined at the above noted office of the Owner and at certain plan examination services listed by the Architect. Copies of complete sets covering the work may be obtained from ARC-blueprint Company phone: 216-281-1234 upon receipt of a non-refundable check made payable to Glen D. Ramage Architect, Inc. in the amount of – FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00) for each set.
There will be a Pre-bid Conference for any interested bidders on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Newbury Elementary School, 14775 Auburn Road, Newbury, Ohio 44065 at 3:30 P.M.
Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form included in the Specifications. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of either:
1. A bid guarantee and contract bond for the full amount of the bid, written upon an acceptable surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio. The form of the bond shall be provided in Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code.
2. A certified check or cashier’s check made payable to the “Newbury Local Schools” or a letter of credit meeting requirements of Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code in an amount equal to 10% of the bid amount. When a check or letter of credit is used, a separate 100% performance/payment bond will be required upon signing of the Contract.
3. The bond must be issued by a surety company authorized by the Ohio Department of Insurance to transact business in the State of Ohio, listed in the Department of Treasury Circular 570, rated at least “A” (Excellent) Class “VII” in the most recently published Best’s Business Insurance Report and acceptable by the Owner.
Bid guarantees of all unacceptable bidders will be held until a proper contract is entered into or until all bids are rejected and then returned.
No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing for the receipt of bids for at least sixty (60) days. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept the lowest, most responsive and responsible bid, to waive any informalities in bidding and/or to consult with any bidder to clarify any and all bids. The successful bidder shall produce an affidavit certifying that there are no delinquent taxes owed.
