Notice is hereby given that the Geauga County Board of Commissioners will hold a public viewing and a public hearing for the proposed vacation of the public right of way upon a portion of Doty Road (TR-532) and in its entirety, an Un-named, Non-numbered Road beginning at the current easterly terminus of Doty Road (TR532) to its southerly terminus at the Portage County Line. The Parkman Board of Township Trustees has filed a resolution with the Commissioners’ Office requesting the vacation. Residents of the City of Chardon shall take note that a public hearing shall be conducted by the Council of the City of Chardon in Council Chambers of the Chardon Municipal Center, 111 Water Street, Chardon, Ohio at 6:20 P.M. upon the 11th day of January, 2018.
Said hearing is to provide the public an opportunity to comment regarding the City of Chardon’s proposed text amendment to the Planning & Zoning Code, specifically Sections 1119.19 (Minor Variances). The text amendment is to allow for administrative variances to be granted for decks and/or patios to encroach up to 20% of the side or rear yard setback when the addition is adjacent to dedicated open space. A copy of the text amendment is on file and available for public inspection in the office of the Clerk of Council of said City, weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Upon payment of $70.00 for pickup or $80.00 for Contract Documents to be mailed, NONE OF WHICH WILL BE REFUNDED.
In accordance with Ohio Revised Code §153.54, the contractor shall file with the bid a bid guaranty in the form of either: 1) a bond for the full amount of the bid, or 2) a certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit equal to 10% of the bid. Bid security furnished in Bond Form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The Project shall be substantially complete on April 1, 2018 and totally complete on May 15, 2018.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, service, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
