Garlic bread has come along way through the years. Now, reaching for a garlic knot with your salad or pasta can be very tasty. Your family will love this easy method of making garlic bites. They will be great with your summer salad.

CHEESY GARLIC BITES

Ingredients:

2 cans buttermilk biscuits (not the flaky ones)

20 cubes or balls cut of mozzarella cheese

3 Tbs. olive oil

6 garlic cloves, minced

Pinch of red pepper flakes

2 Tbs. butter

1/4 tsp. salt

1/4 cup white cooking wine

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese

Dried basil

Salt

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Open the can of biscuits. Flatten each piece of dough. Place a mozzarella ball in the center of each piece of dough and wrap the dough around it.
  3. Heat olive oil over medium heat in skillet. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté garlic for 1 1/2 minutes. Add the butter and stir until melted. Slowly pour in the white cooking wine and salt. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Roll the balls in butter and place in mini muffin pan with the open side up.
  5. Combine the shredded cheeses on place cheese mix on each ball.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and brush with garlic butter. Sprinkle with salt and basil to taste. Serve warm.
