The Memory Cafe
June 29, 11 a.m. to noon
The Memory Café is a group of local professionals with a shared mission to provide education and recreation for those touched by dementia. The café will be held at the Chardon Library, 110 E. Park St.
Lucille Cimino, of Sound Inspirations Music Therapy, will share an uplifting musical program everyone will enjoy. Take home ideas for using music to add joy and learn where to find additional music therapy resources.

Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP
July 3, 1 p.m.
The Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP Chapter 4527 will meet at the Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Road, for its annual ice cream social. Wear a crazy hat or hat of one’s choice; military hats are always welcome. The group will also play bingo and discuss what AARP is fighting for.
The event is free, but please bring non-perishable food for the Food For Friends food pantry, and dog food, dog treats and hot dogs for the Geauga Dog Shelter.

AARP Safe Driving Course
July 12, 11:15 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The AARP safe driving course will be offered at the West Geauga Senior Center.
The cost for AARP members is $15 and $20 for nonmembers.
Bring a bagged lunch or order lunch from the center by July 2.

Cleveland in the Fab ‘50s
July 17, 11 a.m. to noon
Take a front row seat as the Cleveland History Center presents Speaking of Cleveland: Forgotten Tales from Cleveland’s Past in the Huxel Room at Chardon Senior Center. Pulled directly from the nationally-recognized collections of the Western Reserve Historical Society, the stories capture the innovation, the grit and the pride that characterize Cleveland’s past, present and future.
