Parents360 RX
Chardon United Methodist Church will host a community education program on drug abuse titled, “Parents360 RX,” on Nov. 16. The evening will begin at 6:15 p.m. with a light dinner followed by an informative talk from 7-8 p.m. Share and learn how to equip oneself with the information and tools needed to handle drug abuse.
Open to the public, the event is spon-sored by the Chardon Community Action Team. Chardon UMC is at 515 North St.
Community Thanksgiving Worship
Celebration Lutheran Church will hold a community Thanksgiving worship service at 7 p.m. Nov. 23. The evening will begin with a potluck meal starting at 5:45 p.m. All are asked to bring a dish to share, beverages will be provided.
Monetary donations received will benefit the Community Fund and the food donations received will benefit the Pilgrim Food Bank.
The church is located at 10621 Auburn Road in Chardon.
Pastor Returns To Preach
The Rev. Marvin Brown, pastor of Chardon United Methodist Church from 1994 to 2001, will return to its pulpit on Nov. 16. He along with his wife Sandy retired to the Chardon area and they have been attending worship here since June.
All are welcome to come hear the Rev. Marvin Brown’s message at either the 8:45 a.m. Foundation service or the 10 a.m. STRUCK contemporary service.

Federated Dinner and Faith Program
Federated Church, 76 Bell St. in Chagrin Falls, will hold a free dinner and faith program Nov. 12 in Fellowship Hall. A Thanksgiving meal of turkey will be offered at 6 p.m., followed by a program of “And Federated’s Christmas Eve Offering Goes To” at 7 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to bring first aid supplies for MedWish; full-size personal hygiene items for Transitional Housing; and/or arts and craft supplies for Rainey Institute.
The free event is part of Federated’s Wondrous Wednesdays program, which serves up a meal and faith program for the community at large the second Wednesday of the month.
Walk-ins are welcome but reservations are requested by calling 440-247-6490. Childcare available upon request. All are welcome.
