Small Business Financing
Business Advisers of Cleveland will present “Finance for Your Small Business” at 7 p.m. Jan. 20 at Chardon Public Library, 110 E. Park St. The free program is open to the public.
The seminar is for entrepreneurs or small business owners who have evaluated their ideas, but need a more in-depth understanding of accounting and financial records to launch their businesses.
Topics will include: the importance of separating personal finances from business finances and understanding various accounting documents. Attendees will hear about the financial records and documents needed to secure a loan.

Music Of Peace
The Burton Public Library will host a concert performed by Muszikat-Shalom (Music of Peace)? on Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. Music from the countries of Nigeria, It’srael, Saudi Arabia, Mexico and America will be represented.
The interactive musical program is intended to promote peace, cultural acceptance and understanding. Treats from other cultures will be served and there will be a craft at the conclusion of the program.
No registration is required and all ages are welcome to attend.
Spring Gardening
Chardon Public Library, 110 E. Park St., is hosting Thinking Ahead to Spring Gardening Jan. 10 from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The program is designed for experienced gardeners and new gardeners alike.
Learn to deal with pests, weeds and yearly chores. It may be winter, but local gardener Dawn Cryberg will have the group thinking flowers.

Academic Awards Available
The First Congregational Church of Claridon, UCC is announcing the availability of awards for the 2014-2015 school year. The purpose of these awards is to encourage persons to further their education through a traditional college, a trade school or the equivalent.
