Middlefield Village Council hit the ball into the Cardinal Schools Board of Education court Thursday. After some deliberation, a majority of council members agreed to send a counter offer to the school board regarding a long-term agreement for use of the school district’s recreational facilities. Council and the board have been negotiating the figure for several months. The school board has asked the village to pay $150,000 over the next two years.
